Specialist ICU

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage critically ill patients admitted to the Intensive Care Unit
• Develop and implement individualized treatment and management plans
• Perform and supervise critical care procedures within the scope of ICU practice
• Provide ventilator management and care for patients requiring advanced life support
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies, rapid response calls, and code blue situations
• Collaborate with consultants, physicians, nursing teams, and allied health professionals
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Support quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs

Requirements

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from an accredited institution
• Completion of recognized residency in Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Anesthesiology, or Emergency Medicine
• Specialist qualification recognized by the Department of Health (DOH) Abu Dhabi
• Eligibility for or active DOH licensure as a Specialist
• 3–5 years of post-specialization experience in an ICU setting
• Expertise in managing mechanically ventilated and critically ill patients
