Specialist HSE Technical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance on HSE policies, procedures, and standards across projects and operations
• Act as a subject matter expert for process safety, risk assessments, and incident investigations
• Lead and participate in hazard identification studies including HAZID, HAZOP, and JSA
• Conduct risk assessments and recommend effective mitigation measures
• Ensure compliance with company HSE management systems and international regulatory requirements
• Lead or support incident investigations using methodologies such as RCA or TapRooT
• Develop and deliver HSE training programs and awareness campaigns to promote a strong safety culture
• Monitor HSE key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare management reports

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Safety, Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental, or related discipline)
• 15-18 years of experience in HSE roles, specifically within the oil & gas, construction, or industrial sectors
• Strong expertise in risk assessment techniques including HAZOP, HAZID, and SIL studies
• Deep knowledge of international HSE standards such as ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
• Proven experience in process safety and risk management within large-scale or high-risk operations
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional HSE certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or CSP
