Specialist Hemato-Oncologist

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with hematologic diseases and oncology conditions
• Oversee chemotherapy planning, administration, and follow-up
• Manage both inpatient and outpatient hemato-oncology services
• Interpret bone marrow biopsies, flow cytometry, and hematologic investigations
• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and coordinate care with pathology, radiology, surgery, and radiation oncology
• Ensure adherence to international guidelines such as NCCN, ESMO, and ASCO
• Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement, and patient-safety initiatives
• Provide teaching and support to junior doctors and clinical staff
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and support digital health workflows

Requirements

• Specialist qualification in Hematology or Medical Oncology (American Board, Canadian FRCSC, CCT (UK), or CESR)
• Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialist experience
• Eligibility for a DHA Specialist License (Dubai Health Authority)
• Experience in managing both benign and malignant hematologic conditions
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment

• Experience with targeted therapies, immunotherapy, and modern oncology protocols
• Competence in managing complex hematologic emergencies
• Commitment to patient-centered care and evidence-based practice
• Ability to contribute to service development and cancer program expansion
