Specialist Fetal Medicine

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed fetal assessments, including anomaly scans, growth scans, Doppler studies, and early pregnancy evaluations
• Conduct advanced fetal procedures such as amniocentesis, CVS, and fetal echocardiography
• Manage high-risk pregnancies in collaboration with obstetricians, neonatologists, and multidisciplinary teams
• Provide counseling to expectant parents regarding fetal conditions, prognosis, and management plans
• Interpret complex fetal imaging and genetic testing results
• Participate in maternal–fetal medicine clinics and multidisciplinary case discussions
• Ensure adherence to international clinical guidelines and patient-centered care standards
• Support training and mentorship of junior doctors, sonographers, and clinical staff

Requirements

• Medical degree with recognized specialization in Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Fellowship or subspecialty certification in Fetal Medicine or Maternal–Fetal Medicine
• Valid DHA eligibility or license (or eligibility to obtain one)
• Proven experience in fetal diagnostics and high-risk pregnancy management
• Strong skills in ultrasound imaging and fetal intervention techniques
• Excellent communication, counseling, and multidisciplinary collaboration abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in tertiary or high-risk maternity centers
• Exposure to fetal therapy programs or advanced fetal interventions
• Interest in teaching, research, or clinical innovation
