Specialist Donor Driver

Responsibilities

• Operate a full-size commercial vehicle following all DOT guidelines to safely transport staff, supplies, and equipment.
• Perform phlebotomy collection of whole blood and apheresis products using automation systems like Alyx and Trima.
• Conduct donor screening, including collecting donor histories and performing mini-physicals.
• Monitor donors for adverse reactions and provide appropriate care or assistance as needed.
• Manage mobile site setup, including loading/unloading supplies and configuring technology systems.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding to donor inquiries and maintaining a positive, safe environment.
• Maintain product integrity, ensure proper donor identification, and complete all required department records and regulatory documentation.
• Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by business needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid in-state driver's license with proven driving experience.
• Basic mathematical aptitude and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to use computer applications and technical equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-3 years of people-facing experience.
• Experience with Ceridian, Hemasphere, Oracle, or HemaTerra.
• Familiarity with phlebotomy collection equipment and screening tools.
