Specialist, Developmental & Behavioural Pediatrics

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage children with developmental delays, behavioral concerns, and neurodevelopmental disorders such as ASD and ADHD
• Conduct comprehensive developmental evaluations and formulate individualized management plans
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including psychologists, therapists, educators, and pediatric subspecialists
• Provide guidance and counseling to families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and long-term care strategies
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
• Participate in early intervention programs and support care coordination across services
• Contribute to clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and departmental activities
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant patient documentation in line with DOH regulations

Requirements

• Medical Degree with specialization in Pediatrics
• Subspecialty training in Developmental & Behavioural Pediatrics
• Board certification (Arab, European, UK, or American Board)
• Valid DOH License or Eligibility as Specialist Pediatrics
• 4–6 years of relevant pediatric experience, including exposure to developmental and behavioral cases
• Strong communication skills with a family-centered approach to care
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Fellowship or structured training in Developmental & Behavioural Pediatrics
