Specialist - Data Management

Responsibilities

• Define and implement solutions for managing critical data elements, data lineage, business glossaries, and metadata in alignment with Data Governance policies.
• Work hands-on with enterprise metadata and cataloguing tools such as Collibra or IKC.
• Design and implement lineage frameworks and standards to ensure consistent traceability and impact assessment.
• Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders to document data flows, dependencies, and use cases.
• Collaborate with solution architects to map current data landscapes and define roadmaps for ideal data states.
• Partner with data modellers to produce data mapping documentation from source to target logical or conceptual models.
• Analyze the impact of upstream changes and communicate downstream consequences to relevant teams.

Requirements

• Minimum of 12+ years of IT experience.
• At least 6 years of dedicated experience in data management or related functions.
• Expertise in data cataloguing, data quality, and data governance.
• Hands-on experience with metadata/cataloguing tools like Collibra or IKC.
• Strong knowledge of data lineage and the data lifecycle.
• Proven exposure to data modelling and architecture.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in querying databases using SQL and working with large, complex datasets.
• Strong understanding of data modelling concepts to support mapping and lineage activities.
• Experience working within agile methodologies.
• Experience collaborating with multi-cultural and geographically disparate teams.
• Ability to perform data profiling to identify trends and interpret data from various sources.
