Specialist, Data Conversions

Responsibilities

• Execute timely and accurate conversion of new and existing bank and client data to Fiserv systems from internal and external sources
• Provide detailed data analysis for client projects and accommodate ad hoc data updates to meet specific client requests
• Map data to support project initiatives within the Service Delivery organization
• Review specification histories and analyze existing code to resolve issues or implement changes
• Perform reviewing, analyzing, coding, testing, and debugging of application and ETL programs
• Manage and prioritize work queues across multiple workstreams while working under pressure in production environments

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in programming or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data processing (ETL) conversions or the financial services industry
• 5–8 years of experience with strong knowledge of MS SQL/PSQL, MS SSIS, and data warehousing concepts
• Proficiency in Python, including libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-Learn, StatsModels, Matplotlib, and Seaborn
• Strong expertise in writing SQL commands, queries, and stored procedures, including performance tuning
• Experience applying AI/ML analytics (regression, classification, clustering, time-series forecasting) to business reporting
• Experience working within the full software development life cycle using Agile methodologies
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical colleagues

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with data modeling, Informatica, Power BI, MS Visual Basic, Microsoft Access, and Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of Card Management systems and debit card processing
• Experience creating testing artifacts such as test cases and test plans
• Ability to mentor junior team members
