Specialist, Contracts

Responsibilities

• Prepare, negotiate, and administer a large volume of standard and nonstandard government contracts.
• Conduct proposal preparation, pre-contract data collection, and risk assessments of contract terms and conditions.
• Ensure contract acquisition and fulfillment complies with company policies, legal requirements, FAR, DFARS, and ITAR.
• Review RFPs and prepare proposals, including engineering changes and associated negotiation activities.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers during all phases of a program.
• Work closely with management and program teams to resolve issues and ensure successful contract execution.
• Generate and maintain all necessary contract documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of relevant experience, OR
• Graduate Degree and minimum 2 years of relevant experience, OR
• 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• In-depth knowledge of FAR and DFARS.
• Hands-on experience with ITAR.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Functional knowledge of SAP input and report generation.
• Experience with the administration and definitization of DoD contracts.
• Proven ability to perform risk assessments and execute strategies to minimize business risk.
• Experience effectively interfacing with Government customers and senior company management.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex and sensitive subjects via formal correspondence.
• Ability to manage complex projects and lead teams in gathering data across multiple disciplines.
• Current and active Secret security clearance or higher.
