About the role
Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and execute client-facing business development events and internal programs
- Strategize with the business development team to conceptualize ideas and source venues
- Handle all event logistics including vendor coordination, invitations, communications, and post-event follow-up
- Create and manage event-specific budgets, timelines, and milestones
- Conduct domestic and international venue research and negotiate contracts and terms
- Provide regular updates to internal stakeholders regarding attendance, deadlines, and deliverables
- Manage on-site event execution, including catering, AV setup, décor, and security
- Assist with the firm’s annual partner meeting and other related projects
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in event planning
- Proficiency in contract negotiation and managing terms
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple simultaneous projects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
- Willingness to travel as necessary
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends at event venues to ensure smooth operations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within a law firm or professional services environment
- Experience working with production companies, DMCs, and hotels to support large-scale conferences
