Specialist 5, Employee Communications

Responsibilities

• Translate written documents and presentations from English to Thai and vice versa, ensuring accuracy in engineering and manufacturing terminology.
• Provide real-time interpretation during meetings, training sessions, audits, and cross-site collaborations.
• Collaborate with HR and Communications teams to support bilingual needs regarding employee relations, policies, and business strategy.
• Review and edit translated materials for consistency, grammar, and adherence to company standards.
• Maintain and update a translation glossary to ensure terminology consistency across the organization.
• Handle sensitive operational and personnel information with high levels of discretion and confidentiality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Translation, Communications, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in translation or interpretation.
• Proven experience working within a manufacturing or technical environment.
• Fluency in both Thai and English (written and spoken).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in professional translation or interpretation.
• Familiarity with terminology related to electronics, mechanical engineering, or data storage technologies.
• Proficiency with translation tools such as SDL Trados or MemoQ.
• Understanding of ISO standards, lean manufacturing, or Six Sigma terminology.
• Experience working in a multinational manufacturing company.
