Special Security Technician

Responsibilities

• Assist the Special Security Officer (SSO) in controlling access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and SCI Facilities (SCIFs).
• Conduct SCI security briefings, indoctrinations, debriefings, and training on classified material.
• Serve as a Controlled Access Program (CAP) security specialist to implement protocols that reduce risks of espionage, terrorism, and unauthorized disclosure.
• Develop and integrate CAP program protection requirements for USSPACECOM essential information, operations, and technologies.
• Act as a subject matter expert for CAP, Special Access Program (SAP), and Special Access Required (SAR) policies and procedures.
• Perform audits of classified material and inspections of storage facilities, SCIFs, and containers.

Requirements

• Must possess an active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional work experience.
• At least eight years of relevant security experience.
