Special Security Representative (SSR)

Responsibilities

• Manage Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) programs and provide security support for Special Access Programs (SAP) and Compartmented Access Programs (CAP).
• Develop and administer SCI security programs, procedures, and indoctrination briefings.
• Conduct security self-inspections, audits, and random physical security inspections.
• Review SF-86 paperwork for initial and periodic reinvestigations for military and civilian personnel.
• Provide recommendations to the SSO regarding the construction or modification of SCIFs.
• Serve as the Foreign Disclosure Representative (FDR) to ensure policy compliance.
• Manage security incidents and coordinate with associated agencies for personnel onboarding.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship and Top Secret with SCI eligibility.
• Minimum of four years of total experience, including at least two years of specialized experience.
• Completion of the DIA SCI Security Officials Course.
• In-depth knowledge of DOD manuals, instructions, and ICDs (e.g., ICD 704, ICD 705).
• Proven experience in SCI Physical Security, including SCIF concept approval and construction security plans.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Classification Management and SAP/CAP security requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.
• 10+ years of experience supporting the Department of Defense, including 5 years in military operations.
• Formal training or certification as a Foreign Disclosure Representative (FDR).
• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
• Experience with CONOPS, SIGINT, or SIGINT CONOPS.
