Special Projects Planner

Responsibilities

• Create consolidated, centralized schedule for Special Project milestones
• Integrate successful projects into production build schedules
• Proactively engage key contributors and secure necessary authorizations
• Establish clear, quantifiable key performance indicators for each project and track performance
• Monitor real-time project health
• Balance project demands with team capacity to assure sustainable, high-quality output
• Anticipate potential project delays or resource constraints
• Balance rapidly pivoting project scopes and design resolutions when roadblocks occur
• Unify diverse departments around project vision and deliverables
• Build reports and supportive tools to prevent shortages and visualize project standing

Requirements

• 2-3 years of planning experience, related coursework, or certifications
• Experience building reports and analytical tools
• 1-2 years of experience creating schedules
• 1+ years of experience within special projects, new product development, or engineering environments
• Experience working within heavily regulated environments
• 2-5 years of experience with MRP/ERP software
• U.S. Citizenship

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience within aerospace, defense, or government related environments
• Understanding of Lean and Six Sigma Principles
• Experience automating recurring data reports and building dynamic dashboards or workflow tools
