About the role
Responsibilities
- Establish and administer effective strength and conditioning protocols to maximize the physical performance of Special Operations Forces (SOF) personnel
- Design, evaluate, and document physical training protocols for personnel in garrison, TDY/TAD, or deployment settings
- Provide instruction and guidance on physical training, exercises, movements, and injury avoidance
- Coordinate with sports medicine, mental performance, and nutrition professionals to ensure a holistic approach to human performance
- Collaborate with medical providers to ensure a safe transition from injury rehabilitation to performance-based activities
- Assist in developing facility standard operating procedures, training protocols, and supply inventories
- Maintain administrative records regarding workload, utilization, and clinical staff quality assurance
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance
- Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science, Health Science, or a related physical education discipline
- Current NSCA CSCS or CSCCa SCCC certification
- 5+ years of experience in performance programming for high-level athletes (NCAA Division I, Olympic, Professional, or SOF)
- Current CPR/AED certification
- Physical ability to demonstrate exercises, hike over rough terrain, and function in austere environments
- Ability to lift and manipulate loads up to 25kg
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Exercise Science, Health Science, or a related field
- Prior military or Special Operations Forces (SOF) experience
