About the role

Responsibilities

  • Establish and administer effective strength and conditioning protocols to maximize the physical performance of Special Operations Forces (SOF) personnel
  • Design, evaluate, and document physical training protocols for personnel in garrison, TDY/TAD, or deployment settings
  • Provide instruction and guidance on physical training, exercises, movements, and injury avoidance
  • Coordinate with sports medicine, mental performance, and nutrition professionals to ensure a holistic approach to human performance
  • Collaborate with medical providers to ensure a safe transition from injury rehabilitation to performance-based activities
  • Assist in developing facility standard operating procedures, training protocols, and supply inventories
  • Maintain administrative records regarding workload, utilization, and clinical staff quality assurance

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science, Health Science, or a related physical education discipline
  • Current NSCA CSCS or CSCCa SCCC certification
  • 5+ years of experience in performance programming for high-level athletes (NCAA Division I, Olympic, Professional, or SOF)
  • Current CPR/AED certification
  • Physical ability to demonstrate exercises, hike over rough terrain, and function in austere environments
  • Ability to lift and manipulate loads up to 25kg

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Exercise Science, Health Science, or a related field
  • Prior military or Special Operations Forces (SOF) experience
