About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide behavioral health interventions ranging from prevention to treatment under the supervision of licensed professionals
- Conduct patient intakes and assist with the care of psychiatric, drug, and alcohol patients
- Observe patients to detect behavior patterns and report findings to licensed behavioral health staff
- Lead prescribed individual or group therapy sessions as part of specific therapeutic procedures
- Administer psychological and psychophysiological tests and prepare related reports
- Maintain computerized databases, statistical data, and attendance rosters for behavioral health services
- Assist in developing program-operating instructions and making recommendations for corrective actions
- Manage clinical appointment templates, supply stock levels, and specialized behavioral health forms
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required
- Must possess or be able to obtain a Secret or Top Secret security clearance
- Associate degree or commensurate military training (e.g., military mental health technician/specialist)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a psychiatric technician
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification by the American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as an EEG Technician
- Previous military experience
