Special Operations Psychological/Mental Health Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide behavioral health interventions ranging from prevention to treatment under the supervision of licensed professionals
• Conduct patient intakes and assist with the care of psychiatric, drug, and alcohol patients
• Observe patients to detect behavior patterns and report findings to licensed behavioral health staff
• Lead prescribed individual or group therapy sessions as part of specific therapeutic procedures
• Administer psychological and psychophysiological tests and prepare related reports
• Maintain computerized databases, statistical data, and attendance rosters for behavioral health services
• Assist in developing program-operating instructions and making recommendations for corrective actions
• Manage clinical appointment templates, supply stock levels, and specialized behavioral health forms

Requirements

• US Citizenship is required
• Must possess or be able to obtain a Secret or Top Secret security clearance
• Associate degree or commensurate military training (e.g., military mental health technician/specialist)
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a psychiatric technician
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification by the American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as an EEG Technician
• Previous military experience
