Responsibilities

• Lead high-stakes interactions with government and regulatory bodies to negotiate license terms and advocate policy positions
• Develop and execute regulatory strategies for new market entry and high-priority projects across Southeast Asia
• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of all required licenses and operating permits, including timely renewals
• Monitor and interpret complex global regulatory changes and translate legislative impacts into strategic advice for leadership
• Partner with Legal, Product, and Leadership teams to embed regulatory requirements into business planning
• Represent the company at industry forums and consultations

Requirements

• Minimum 8+ years of progressive experience in Government Relations, Regulatory Affairs, or Licensing
• Proven track record of leading strategic negotiations of regulatory outcomes and managing complex government approvals
• Deep knowledge of government licensing and regulatory frameworks in Malaysia
• Exceptional relationship-building and diplomatic skills for engaging with high-level officials
• Bachelor's degree in Law, Public Administration, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Fintech, Insurtech, or digital platforms
• Experience navigating multi-jurisdictional environments
