About the role
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business through special group sales for campus clubs, corporate retreats, weddings, and school groups
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and proposal to negotiation and closing
- Create customized retreat schedules to meet group objectives
- Track pipeline activity, forecasts, and performance metrics to achieve revenue goals
- Develop plans to expand participation for summer camp sessions and seasonal offerings
- Collaborate with the Business Development team on cross-promotion opportunities
- Provide operational support to ensure smooth camp operations and exceptional guest experiences
Requirements
- Previous sales and business development experience with a track record of meeting targets
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Google Applications, and CRM solutions
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Valid CA driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends
- Ability to pass Consumer Report and FBI/DOB fingerprint background investigations
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Familiarity with the Lair of the Golden Bear
- Knowledge of the University of California, Berkeley, and the Cal campus
