About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the provision for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) across the infant school
- Ensure children with additional needs receive appropriate support to achieve their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally
- Work closely with staff, parents/carers, external agencies, and school leadership to promote inclusive practice
- Ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice
Requirements
- Qualified teacher
- NASENCO qualification or NPQ SENCO
- Strong understanding of SEND provision and inclusive practice
- Experience in a primary or infant school setting
- Excellent communication and strong organisational skills
- A proactive, caring, and solution-focused approach
Benefits
- Permanent, part-time position (one day per week)
- Salary in line with the appropriate teacher pay scale (MPS Main Scale Pay Range 1 - 6), pro-rated for part-time hours
- Term time only contract
