Special Education Teacher (SETSS)

Responsibilities

• Offer high-quality, individualized, and small-group instruction to students with disabilities in accordance with IESP mandates
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans meeting unique academic, social, and emotional needs
• Maintain intervention schedules and ensure fulfillment of weekly mandates
• Develop and submit quarterly progress reports and maintain regular family communication
• Document service delivery and student performance in the company system
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and school staff to build inclusive learning environments
• Attend IESP meetings to provide professional insights and recommendations

Requirements

• Valid NYS Students with Disabilities certification (B-2, 1-6, 7-12, or All Grades) or NYS Literacy Specialist
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant teaching experience
• Experience teaching Mathematics and ELA
• Must not have been employed by NYC DOE in the past 12 months
• Dependable transportation
• NYC DOE fingerprinting clearance or willingness to obtain
