Special Education Teacher (SETSS)

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, individualized, and small-group instruction for students with disabilities as outlined in their IESP
• Ensure completion of weekly IESP requirements and maintain an intervention schedule aligned with school schedules
• Develop and submit quarterly progress reports and maintain regular communication with families
• Document service delivery and student performance in the company system with precise and timely documentation
• Create and implement engaging lesson plans meeting unique academic, social, and emotional needs
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and school staff to build a supportive learning environment
• Track and evaluate student progress and attend IESP meetings as required

Requirements

• Valid NYS Students with Disabilities certification (B-2, 1-6, 7-12, or All Grades) or NYS Literacy Specialist
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant teaching experience
• Experience teaching Mathematics and ELA
• Must not have been employed by NYC DOE in the past 12 months
• Dependable transportation
• NYC DOE fingerprinting clearance or willingness to obtain
