About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, individualized, and small-group instruction for students with disabilities as outlined in their IESP
- Ensure completion of weekly IESP requirements and maintain an intervention schedule aligned with school schedules
- Develop and submit quarterly progress reports and maintain regular communication with families
- Document service delivery and student performance in the company system with precise and timely documentation
- Create and implement engaging lesson plans meeting unique academic, social, and emotional needs
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and school staff to build a supportive learning environment
- Track and evaluate student progress and attend IESP meetings as required
Requirements
- Valid NYS Students with Disabilities certification (B-2, 1-6, 7-12, or All Grades) or NYS Literacy Specialist
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant teaching experience
- Experience teaching Mathematics and ELA
- Must not have been employed by NYC DOE in the past 12 months
- Dependable transportation
- NYC DOE fingerprinting clearance or willingness to obtain
