Special Education Teacher

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality classroom instruction to adolescents in grades 6-12 within a therapeutic environment
• Plan, develop, and implement lessons tailored to individual student needs
• Implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and assess student progress
• Provide instruction across all required content areas
• Incorporate social thinking and executive functioning support into the learning process
• Utilize creativity to facilitate hands-on, experiential learning

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related subject
• NH teaching license or Statement of Eligibility (SOE) in General Special Education (1900)
• Experience working with youth with various mental health and special education needs

• Ability to work effectively as a team player
• Enthusiastic approach to teaching and student engagement
