About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, deliver, and assess educational programs for primary-aged students with diverse learning needs.
- Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to students with complex learning requirements.
- Work collaboratively with Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Sports Coaches, and families to provide integrated, student-centred care.
- Train and supervise Classroom Assistants to effectively coordinate classroom programs.
- Integrate technology, such as Interactive Whiteboards and iPads, into the curriculum to enhance learning.
Requirements
- Approved teaching qualification with experience in the primary curriculum.
- Current NESA Teacher Accreditation.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver differentiated instruction for diverse learners.
- Strong leadership skills with experience supervising classroom staff.
- Proficiency in using educational technology including iPads and Interactive Whiteboards.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with allied health professionals and families.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working specifically with students with a range of disabilities.
- Formal qualifications or specialized experience in Special Education.
