Special Education Teacher

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs, lesson plans, and instructional strategies tailored to each student’s individual goals
• Maintain accurate documentation, including IEPs, progress reports, and evaluation summaries
• Collaborate with therapists, counselors, and families to support student progress and consistency across settings
• Manage classroom structure and implement behavior support strategies to promote positive outcomes
• Conduct assessments, track progress, and monitor behavior data to inform instruction and interventions

Requirements

• Active Pennsylvania Teaching Certification (Private Academic Certificate or Level I/II PA Instructional Special Education Certification K–12)
• Bachelor’s degree with at least six credit hours in special education (for Temporary Private Academic Certificate)
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
