Special Education Teacher

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized instruction and behavioral support for students with Autism
• Implement and track IEP goals
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and service providers
• Use evidence-based strategies to promote communication, social skills, and independence
• Create a positive, structured classroom environment that encourages student growth

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field
• Valid Virginia Special Education license or eligibility for licensure
• Experience working with students with Autism or developmental disabilities
• Strong communication, collaboration, and behavior management skills
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, and drive
• Ability to perform light lifting up to 50 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in education or a related field
