Special Education Teacher

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the classroom team, including Teaching Assistants and Personal Care Assistants
• Ensure consistent implementation and progress monitoring of IEP goals and related services
• Collaborate with related service providers and nursing staff (OT, PT, SLP)
• Support students with personal care and daily living needs as appropriate
• Communicate effectively with families and team members regarding student progress
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education
• Pennsylvania Special Education teaching certification or PDE emergency certification eligibility
• Demonstrated knowledge of IEP development, compliance, and progress monitoring
• Strong leadership and communication skills
