Special Education Teacher

Responsibilities

• Lead the classroom team and assistants to ensure consistent implementation of lesson plans and student supports
• Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with regulations
• Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals and adjust instruction accordingly
• Design and deliver engaging lesson plans for academic, social, and developmental growth
• Collaborate with related service providers such as OT, PT, and SLP to integrate therapeutic supports
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and IEP goals
• Support students’ personal care and developmental needs in an inclusive setting

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education
• Pennsylvania Special Education teaching certification
• Knowledge of IEP development, compliance, and progress monitoring
• Strong leadership and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with preschool or early childhood special education
