About the role
Responsibilities
- Support students with academics, social interactions, and daily living skills
- Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities
- Observe, document, and report student progress and behavior
- Reinforce individualized education and behavior support plans
- Use positive behavior strategies and de-escalation techniques to maintain a safe, supportive classroom
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Passion for supporting students with learning, emotional, or behavioral differences
- Ability to remain calm, patient, and encouraging in all situations
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Basic computer proficiency with tools like Word, Excel, or Google Docs
