New Story Schools serves students ages 5–21 with autism and emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges. Guided by individualized learning, therapeutic integration, and collaboration, we empower students to grow and prepare for meaningful adult lives.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the quality, compliance, and overall effectiveness of special education programming across all IDS locations
  • Ensure full compliance with federal and state regulations (IDEA, PDE) and maintain audit readiness across programs
  • Lead and manage the full IEP lifecycle, including evaluations, goal development, progress monitoring, and reporting
  • Provide instructional leadership by aligning curriculum, IEP goals, and evidence-based practices
  • Analyze student data and progress monitoring to drive decision-making and continuous program improvement
  • Coach and support staff while partnering with district leaders and families to ensure strong outcomes

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in special education
  • At least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role
  • Master’s degree in Special Education, Education, Human Services, or a related field
  • Pennsylvania Special Education Teaching Certificate or Supervisor of Special Education Certificate
  • Strong knowledge of IDEA, PA Department of Education regulations, PA School Code, and FERPA
  • Demonstrated experience with IEP development, implementation, and compliance oversight
  • Ability to travel regularly to district sites and IDS locations

  • Experience supporting multi-site or district-based programs
