Special Credits Director

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Special Credits Officers managing stressed and distressed commercial credits
• Develop workout strategies for problem loans, including repayment, collateral, and restructuring solutions
• Partner with bankers, borrowers, advisors, and counsel to drive effective credit outcomes
• Oversee credit surveillance, regulatory reporting, reserving, charge-off analysis, and recovery forecasting
• Provide leadership, coaching, and training to support team development and timely execution
• Manage priorities and resources to ensure credit packages and recommendations are delivered on time

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
• 10+ years of commercial banking or lending experience with extensive commercial credit expertise
• Strong knowledge of asset-based lending, accounting, and financial statement analysis
• Experience supervising employees and demonstrating executive presence
• Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and manage multiple deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in Special Credits, workout, or problem credit roles
• MBA or advanced degree
