About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage the CEO’s calendar as a strategic asset and primary owner of time architecture
- Evaluate and prioritize inbound requests for CEO engagement
- Design and manage intentional travel and engagement strategies
- Identify and maintain awareness of key external stakeholders across policy, corporate, and philanthropic sectors
- Prepare executive briefing materials, including objectives, messaging, and stakeholder context
- Draft and refine CEO communications, including social media content and priority correspondence
- Serve as the primary in-room coordinator at high-profile events and convenings
- Capture insights and manage a structured follow-up system for meeting outcomes
- Coordinate across internal teams to ensure alignment for CEO engagements
Requirements
- Experience in executive office, political, policy, nonprofit, or high-level external affairs environments
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- Proven experience in roles such as Chief of Staff, senior scheduler, or executive office lead
- Exceptional judgment in prioritization and strategic decision-making
- Strong executive presence and ability to interact with high-profile stakeholders
- Exceptional writing ability for executive-level communications
- Ability to manage complex logistics and fast-moving environments
- High level of discretion and confidentiality
- Ability to work on-site in Washington, D.C. five days per week
- Ability to travel locally and occasionally overnight
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in public policy, political science, or communications
- Background in congressional, White House, or high-level government environments
- Familiarity with military, veteran, or national security ecosystems
- Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce
- Experience managing high-level stakeholder events or conferences
