Spanish Teacher

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry-based Spanish lessons that inspire curiosity and critical thinking
• Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment catering to diverse learning styles, including EAL and gifted students
• Integrate technology and innovative approaches to enhance student engagement
• Assess and communicate student progress effectively using data to inform personalized support
• Collaborate with colleagues to design and refine IB-aligned curriculum plans and assessments
• Contribute to the wider school community through co-curricular activities and events
• Build positive relationships with parents to support student wellbeing

Requirements

• Certified professional teaching qualification at degree level (B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent) in Spanish/MFL
• Minimum of 3 years of demonstrable experience teaching Secondary Spanish
• Valid DBS or equivalent police check
• Experience with the IB curriculum (MYP & DP) is preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience teaching within an IB World School environment
• Proven ability to deliver inquiry-based instruction
