Spanish Teacher

Responsibilities

• Motivate, assist, and guide student learning through prescribed instruction and curriculum implementation
• Identify individual student needs through continuous assessment and plan instruction accordingly
• Manage the classroom environment to create optimum learning conditions and maintain student discipline
• Write instructional plans and utilize a variety of appropriate methods and materials
• Evaluate and report student progress to students, parents, and administration
• Participate in professional development, parent conferences, and school committee meetings
• Supervise students both inside and outside of the classroom setting

Requirements

• Hold or be eligible for an Oregon teaching license with an appropriate Spanish endorsement
• Demonstrated teaching ability via student teaching, internship, or professional experience
• Valid Oregon driver’s license and insurable status
• Valid first aid card
• Ability to provide a resume, cover letter, and letters of recommendation
