DCI’s education centers on an International Baccalaureate curriculum, advanced language learning in Chinese, Spanish, and French, and a culture focused on student agency supported by 1:1 technology.

Responsibilities

  • Provide IB Spanish education to students through immersion methods
  • Plan curriculum using the IB DP Language curriculum framework
  • Advise students and teach advisory classes using the school's curriculum
  • Proactively manage the classroom learning environment
  • Collaborate with general and special educators, coordinators, and leadership
  • Infuse technology into instruction via the 1:1 Chromebooks program
  • Lead and participate in cultural activities for faculty and students

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Bilingual and biliterate in Spanish
  • Ability to clear a background check
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in secondary education or Spanish content area
  • Previous experience teaching MYP/DP Spanish (Language A or B), AP, or Honors courses
  • Proficiency with G-Suite tools including Gmail
  • Experience with language immersion methods
