About the role
Responsibilities
- Interpret and translate between English and Spanish under close supervision
- Proofread translations for accuracy and provide feedback
- Prepare transcriptions and translations from recordings
- Screen Spanish audio recordings in written or oral form
- Support in-house interviews, community presentations, and other language services tasks
- Process Spanish language service requests and update the unit database
Requirements
- Currently enrolled junior or senior college student, or graduate student
- Strong spoken and written Spanish-English ability
- Bi-cultural awareness and idiomatic fluency in both languages
- Mature and tactful behavior for interview interpretation
- Ability to complete a full internship term
- Translation/interpretation program preferred
