Spanish Associate

Responsibilities

• Prepare supplemental curriculum and lessons to teach introductory Spanish to 7th grade students during the Fall trimester
• Support Lower School Spanish classes once or twice a week
• Communicate with the lead teacher regarding student progress and concerns
• Communicate frequently and effectively with families concerning student progress and conduct
• Assist in writing reports that evaluate student performance and demonstrate knowledge of student experiences
• Communicate with families via email or phone in consultation with the lead teacher

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Proficiency in Spanish (priority to native or heritage speakers)
• Effective oral and written communication in English
• Willingness to collaborate with lead teachers on learning strategies
• Commitment to professional growth and innovative thinking
• Strong personal and interpersonal skills
• Flexible schedule to meet class needs
