About the role
Responsibilities
- Construct wiring harnesses and cables requiring soldering from schematics and drawings
- Fabricate and construct mechanical assemblies from drawings and oral instructions
- Perform electrical or mechanical modifications, rework, and quality testing
- Perform light machining including drilling, milling, and metal lathe work
- Conduct component-level environmental testing such as thermal, vacuum, and vibration
- Support assembly and environmental testing of spacecraft
- Maintain and use test equipment including spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and oscilloscopes
- Utilize fabrication equipment such as 3D printers and laser cutters
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience in related technical tasks
- Proficiency with standard electronic assembly tools and materials
- Ability to perform soldering to spacecraft flight hardware standards
- Ability to use 3D printers and machine tools
- Ability to use electronic and environmental test equipment
- Must meet ITAR requirements (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
