Spacecraft Operations Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time support for on-orbit spacecraft operations, including telemetry monitoring, data analysis, and subsystem performance assessment.
• Perform anomaly troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and develop recovery strategies.
• Support systems engineering reviews, including the evaluation of operational procedures and technical analysis of system behaviors.
• Monitor spacecraft and payload health and safety to ensure mission continuity and operational readiness.
• Contribute to spacecraft constellation maintenance through configuration management and performance optimization.
• Serve as a technical point of contact for maintenance and calibration activities.
• Prepare and deliver technical briefings and status updates to leadership and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years of experience, OR Master’s degree with 7+ years of experience, OR PhD/JD with 4+ years of experience.
• Proven experience supporting satellite programs within NRO, Intelligence Community (IC), or Department of Defense (DoD) environments.
• Strong analytical skills, specifically in root cause analysis and trend analysis within cross-functional settings.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting the execution and management of U.S. Government contracts.
• Experience with acquisition processes or contract execution related to spacecraft enhancements.
