About the role

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize, design, assemble, and test spacecraft electromechanical systems including SADAs and reaction wheels
  • Own actuator and mechanism development from concept through qualification and flight delivery
  • Define and execute qualification and life cycle testing for high reliability rotary actuators

Requirements

  • B.S. in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience developing electromechanical systems or mechanisms for high-reliability applications
  • Strong understanding of motors, bearings, geartrains, and rotating systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Solar Array Drive Assemblies (SADAs) or reaction wheels
  • Familiarity with motor driver electronics and embedded control implementation
  • Experience with rotor dynamics analysis or rotary balancing techniques
