About the role
Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, design, assemble, and test spacecraft electromechanical systems including SADAs and reaction wheels
- Own actuator and mechanism development from concept through qualification and flight delivery
- Define and execute qualification and life cycle testing for high reliability rotary actuators
Requirements
- B.S. in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering
- 5+ years of experience developing electromechanical systems or mechanisms for high-reliability applications
- Strong understanding of motors, bearings, geartrains, and rotating systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Solar Array Drive Assemblies (SADAs) or reaction wheels
- Familiarity with motor driver electronics and embedded control implementation
- Experience with rotor dynamics analysis or rotary balancing techniques
