About the role
Responsibilities
- Assemble, instrument, and test spacecraft flight hardware throughout development and production campaigns
- Set up, operate, and maintain environmental test equipment including thermal vacuum chambers and vibration systems
- Install and troubleshoot instrumentation such as thermocouples, accelerometers, and strain gauges
- Support spacecraft integration, activation, and functional testing
- Monitor test performance, identify anomalies, and support root cause investigations
- Collaborate with engineers to develop test procedures, tooling, and fixtures
- Perform mechanical assembly, disassembly, and rework on spacecraft hardware
- Maintain accurate documentation of test configurations and results
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and contamination control requirements
Requirements
- U.S. Person status required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing test systems
- Experience operating environmental test equipment or laboratory equipment
- Proficiency with electronic test equipment like multimeters and oscilloscopes
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with spacecraft, satellite, or launch vehicle programs
- Familiarity with TVAC, vibration, shock, or acoustic testing
- Experience fabricating and repairing cable harnesses
- Knowledge of IPC-620, J-STD-001, or NASA-STD-8739 standards
- Experience working in cleanroom environments
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/MES systems
