Spacecraft Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the definition, documentation, and maintenance of the complete GEO spacecraft system architecture.
• Manage spacecraft internal and external interfaces, including mechanical, electrical, thermal, and data interfaces.
• Act as the technical owner for critical system budgets, specifically Mass and Power Budgets.
• Provide technical guidance and oversight to subsystem engineers to ensure design integration.
• Support Assembly, Integration, and Test (AI&T) activities and lead the resolution of technical anomalies.
• Identify and solve cross-functional issues throughout the satellite lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, etc.) or a related technical discipline.
• 3 to 10 years of experience in integrated system design, integration, and/or test.
• Proven experience managing complex technical budgets (e.g., mass, power) and enforcing design discipline.
• Track record of solving hard problems independently and leading outside of traditional reporting chains.
• U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working through a complete GEO spacecraft development lifecycle.
• Deep technical experience across multiple engineering domains.
• Specific experience with GEO or high-power communication satellite systems.
• Familiarity with Smartsheet, Jira, and Confluence.
