Spacecraft Avionics Harness Technician

Responsibilities

• Fabricate wire harnesses from assembly drawings and electrical schematics
• Assemble electromechanical assemblies and assist engineering with production processes
• Follow work instructions and document work through MES systems
• Route harnesses and support integration of assemblies on Mega-class satellites
• Support production transition from development to full rate production
• Provide process improvement feedback to engineering and leadership

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in cable harness fabrication, assembly, or integration
• Experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably aerospace or electronics
• Proficiency in MS Office and shop floor management software
• Experience with crimping, wire stripping, continuity testing, and connector pin outs
• Experience using digital multimeters, calipers, and micrometers
• Familiarity with ERP and part traceability
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

• IPC-A-610 or IPC-A-620 certification
• Hand soldering and PCB rework experience
• Ability to read and redline electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
• Experience with potting and encapsulation techniques
