Spacecraft Avionics Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop avionics systems and electrical components for satellite systems
• Develop and implement electrical system architectures, power distribution, and communication interfaces
• Design electrical boards and PCBs, including component placement and signal routing
• Conduct research to select suitable electronic components like sensors, transmitters, and processors
• Define and execute test plans to validate avionics and electrical systems performance
• Troubleshoot electrical and avionics system issues during development and testing
• Collaborate with mechanical, systems, and software engineers for subsystem integration

Requirements

• U.S. Person status required for export controlled data access
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Avionics Engineering, or a related field
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in avionics and electrical engineering
• Proficiency in designing avionics systems, electrical circuits, and subsystems
• Strong knowledge of analog/digital circuit design, power electronics, and EMC
• Experience with eCAD software (Altium), circuit simulation (LTSpice), and PCB design tools
• Ability to debug complex problems using Logic Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, and Spectrum Analyzers

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degrees in engineering fields
• Experience specifically within the aerospace or satellite industry
