Space Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform satellite telemetry, tracking, and commanding functions
• Monitor satellite health and status and analyze data to identify trends and anomalies
• Contribute to troubleshooting, problem-solving, and anomaly resolution efforts
• Assist in the preparation of technical documents
• Support internal and customer-focused projects under the mentorship of the Satellite Operations Systems and Services team

Requirements

• Pursuing a BS in Engineering or a related field
• Must be a US Citizen
• Willingness to work onsite in Colorado Springs, CO
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and team members

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with ground station systems and data processing techniques
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software such as MATLAB, Python, or CAD tools
• Demonstrated leadership ability through community or campus involvement
