Space Planner/Draftsman

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed space plans and layouts
• Collaborate with architects, designers, and clients to understand project requirements
• Conduct site assessments to gather necessary measurements and data
• Create 3D models and visualizations to present design concepts
• Prepare and present detailed design proposals to stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations
• Optimize space usage for maximum efficiency and functionality
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors during the implementation phase
• Monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed
• Evaluate post-occupancy feedback to improve future designs
• Analyse space utilization data to identify opportunities for improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp
• 2 to 5 years of experience in drafting, design, space planning and test-fits
• Strong understanding of building codes and regulations
• Experience with project management and coordination
• Knowledge of sustainable design principles
• Previous experience in commercial or residential space planning
