Space Modeling Simulation & Analysis Specialist

Responsibilities

• Design and develop modeling and simulation architectures for space systems, including satellite platforms, payload integration, ground systems, and orbital mechanics.
• Perform mission scenario modeling to analyze system performance, operational effectiveness, and capability optimization in contested environments.
• Utilize advanced M&S tools such as STK, MATLAB, Simulink, and AFSIM to simulate mission scenarios and predict outcomes.
• Conduct trade studies, sensitivity analyses, and assessments to evaluate technologies and operational strategies.
• Develop and implement algorithms for mission planning, situational awareness, and system optimization.
• Analyze simulation data to inform design decisions, reduce risk, and prioritize program requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to integrate M&S solutions into program workflows.
• Provide technical expertise to government stakeholders during reviews, audits, and program documentation submissions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in modeling, simulation, and analysis for space systems.
• Extensive experience with M&S tools including STK, MATLAB, Simulink, or AFSIM.
• Active Top Secret clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI).
• Strong programming skills in Python, C++, or MATLAB for algorithm development.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, or related disciplines.
• Certifications in modeling and simulation or relevant analytical fields.
• Experience with advanced technologies such as directed energy systems, autonomous platforms, or multi-domain operations.
• Familiarity with adversarial threats to space assets, including electronic warfare and counterspace operations.
• Knowledge of machine learning, AI techniques, and predictive analytics applied to space operations.
