Space Acquisition Support Specialist

Responsibilities

• Collect and consolidate program data to generate weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly acquisition reports
• Administer and maintain knowledge-sharing tools and repositories including SharePoint and Wikis
• Support the development of Program Management Review (PMR) slide packages, point papers, and programmatic documentation
• Develop responses to programmatic taskers for program manager approval
• Provide support for the management of all ESBMC2 contracts
• Support contract actions including generating RFP packages, developing Performance Work Statements (PWS), and facilitating technical evaluations
• Assess contract cost, schedule, and performance against program baselines to identify and resolve negative trends

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business management related field
• 15+ years of relevant experience in government acquisition management
• Familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) space acquisition life-cycle management processes
• Knowledge of U.S. space systems, organizations, and capabilities
• Understanding of Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
• Ability to function effectively in a multi-contractor and multi-customer environment
• DoD TS/SCI eligibility is required

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in a relevant field
• Acquisition experience at the Space Systems Command (SSC) or equivalent
• 10+ years of experience in software acquisition
• Strong technical background with experience in space systems, operations, or satellite programs
• Understanding of Agile/Lean software development methodologies
• Proficiency in creating and managing SharePoint sites
