South Campus Residence Director

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations, administrative tasks, and programmatic initiatives for the South Campus residential community.
• Direct the implementation of educational curricula focused on student transitions and life skills for independent living.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate a diverse staff, including up to nine Resident Advisors and various paraprofessional student employees.
• Provide crisis intervention, conflict mediation, and participate in a tier 1 on-call response rotation.
• Coordinate outreach and engagement efforts to support student wellbeing and community expectations.
• Resolve violations of institutional policies and the Code of Student Conduct.
• Build relationships with campus partners such as Public Safety, Student Engagement, and Athletics to ensure student safety and success.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Strong administrative skills and high attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to handle multiple priorities and work across diverse constituencies.
• Strong conflict resolution and student organization advising skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree.
• Prior experience in Residence Life or Student Affairs.
• Experience working within apartment-style or independent living environments.
