About the role

About the Company

Charlottenlund Fort was built in 1886 as coastal defense north of Copenhagen. Today, it is a restaurant with a 180° view over the Øresund, seating 160 guests indoors and over 200 on the terrace. We serve French-Nordic seasonal à la carte dishes, weddings, corporate parties, and private events.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Head Chef and take responsibility for the kitchen in their absence
  • Oversee daily production, events, and kitchen staff
  • Assist in developing menus and seasonal dishes
  • Set the standard for quality and pace in daily operations

Requirements

  • Trained chef with solid experience from a serious kitchen
  • Experience leading and coordinating others in a busy kitchen environment
  • Strong ownership and ability to take responsibility during difficult shifts
  • Clear communication skills and ability to maintain calm under pressure
  • Ability to thrive with variety, including events, à la carte, and seasonal menus

Benefits

  • Salary starting from 35,000 DKK per month
  • Typically 3-4 shifts per week (primarily 10:00-22:00)
  • Fixed days off: Mondays and every other weekend
  • Staff meals provided during shifts
