Sous Chef

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and coach the kitchen team to ensure a high-quality culinary experience
• Manage day-to-day culinary operations including labor scheduling and inventory management
• Monitor food and labor costs in accordance with budget and COGS requirements
• Maintain food safety and HACCP standards to ensure kitchen sanitation and safety
• Standardize production recipes and presentation to ensure consistent quality
• Plan and cost menus for special events and chef choice menus
• Oversee equipment operation and maintenance

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in a similar Sous Chef or leadership position
• Proven ability to lead, develop, and engage a culinary team
• Relevant culinary qualifications
• Comprehensive understanding of food hygiene and food safety programs
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Availability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Strong self-organization, problem-solving, and time management skills
